That's where I remember, because I'm from Lancaster, Pennsylvania originally and that was like the one arcade machine in the mall where they always had Time Crisis 2. That's a really hard game to actually find in the arcade now. I was like, "This is the coolest thing ever." So I love those too. Obviously, I haven't gotten to play for a long time, but Time Crisis and think it was the second one where the gun would actually cock back when you would shoot. I do love Miss Pac-Man and Pac-Man and stuff like that too. I love a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time. But then when I play on the Switch, not that it's bad, it's amazing to be able to play on the go, but it's not the same.ĭo you go to the arcades a lot? What are your arcade standouts? So I have been playing Super Mario World, but I've been playing it on my SNES classic because it's amazing to me playing that game with the original Super Nintendo controller. You mentioned Super Mario World, have you gotten into it on Switch yet now that the SNES is on the Switch? It was like this run-and-gun shooter-style game that was real wonky with stuff exploding all around you all the time. There's this one, it is a little bit later generation, but the game One for the original PlayStation. I'm trying to think of weird, out-there games. That one's an absolute blast, you know? Besides that, I love the classics, the Super Mario World, Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 2 was such a good pick up and play.

Wwe 2k20 switch update#
I’ve reached out to 2K for comment on why these wrestling games have been taken down, and I'll update this post when I hear back. 2K don’t seem to have been getting any rumblings ready about when we’ll see WWE 2K23 yet, although there were rumours earlier this year that WWE had approached EA about taking over the licence. They did get round to patching it, though.

Given that WWE games have licensed soundtracks, it's entirely possible that the licenses are expiring and this has prompted the takedown - similar to how the PC version of Remedy's Alan Wake was taken off sale back in 2017 due to its lapsed music rights.ĢK took a year off from releasing their annual wrestlefest in 2020 after the disastrously buggy launch of WWE 2K20.
Wwe 2k20 switch series#
Some of 2K’s previous entries in the WWE series do still have Steam store pages, but they’re marked with a now familiar and slightly deflating note: “At the request of the publisher, WWE 2K17 is no longer available for sale on Steam.” The games appear to have been removed from sale on the Xbox and PlayStation storefronts too. The removal of the WWE games from sale seems to have taken place on July 14th, which maps with data from Steam Tracker. You can see the desolation on Steam for yourself here. Redditor Popstasia eventually did though, and posted their findings to the pcgaming subreddit. I haven’t played a wrestling game since 2002’s fair to middling WWE Wrestlemania X8 on the GameCube, so I can’t say I immediately noticed the absence of WWE 2K20, 2K19, 2K18 and 2K17 from Valve's storefront. Watch on YouTube WWE 2K22 seems to have been a return to form for the digital wrestling franchise.
